Everyday I get to read a lot of blog posts that target the developers community and most of them are written to help out in understanding a new idea, technology, dev tools or a new feature added to an already existing item.
Today instead of that am going to introduce to you a simple day to day tool that surprisingly I don’t get to meet a lot of developers using it. Its called a clipboard manager.
What exactly does it do you ask, well that’s a very good question. Clipboard manager helps you manage all the items you copy from one place to another, if you have copied something let’s say from a website it would save it and you can find what you copied easily again later.
There is more than one clipboard manager out there, but I personally like to use Ditto.
- Ditto is a really easy to use clipboard manager, it saves everything you copy on your pc: files, text, links and much more.
- You can customize how you’ld like to paste the data to your new destination, for example you can use hotkeys to quickly paste one of the 10 latest items you have copied.
- Also it comes with a built in search bar you can use to search for an item you copied earlier maybe an IP address or a password.
There is a lot more to be learned about this tool, and how much time it can save you whether you are building a small website or an app. For now I hope you found this post useful, and stay tuned for our next subject.
